Kevin has over 25 years international project management of offshore developments from North Sea, Middle East, West Africa, SE Asia and Australia, and has been involved in technical supervision and construction management of FPSO and FSO conversions since 1995 as design engineer, shipyard superintendent, project manager and client representative. He has contributed in various roles including proposals, contract negotiation, design, planning, costing, procurement, progress control, site supervision, operational support, shutdown co-ordinator, and as technical adviser.

Kevin’s appointments include periods with ABB Global, Arup Energy, Nortrans Offshore, JPKenny, Frontier Engineering, Prosafe Production, Woodside, BHPB Petroleum and Apache Energy.

He has a broad technical knowledge of the design of well completions, subsea production systems, swivels, turret moorings, process facilities, ship stability and integrity, marine systems, offshore jackets, topsides and sub-sea structures, as well as offshore field installation experience for concrete platforms, spread moorings, turret moorings, CALM buoy moorings and the hookup and commissioning of floating production systems.

Kevin also has an intimate knowledge of FPSO production and offtake operations from the oil company perspective, and familiarity with FPSO contractor business including shipyard negotiations and management.

Frank Lim is Principal Director of 2H Offshore, a company that has pioneered technologies for riser systems that are now deployed in deepwater regions around the world.

Dr. Lim’s offshore oil and gas career began in 1983 upon graduation in the UK, and continued through numerous projects in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, West Africa and Brazil, until recently when he turned his interests to deepwater projects in the Asia Pacific, supporting them from the 2H Kuala Lumpur regional office he set up more than a year ago.

A fellow of the British Institution of Mechanical Engineers, he is a regular author of technical papers and speaker at conferences.
